Making CG Black irons longer wouldn't mean much if they weren't more accurate and consistent too. The thin, high-strength steel face creates a larger area of maximum ball speed, plus allows for more perimeter weighting for more accuracy and consistency.

The 20% larger High COR Area allows for more consistency throughout the club face which helps make this not only longer but more accurate than other clubs tested.

Low Swing MOI

By lowering the Swing MOI, CG Black products promote a pro-like swing, resulting in higher head speed and greater distance with the same swing effort.

Our Most Accurate Iron to Date

PLAYABILITY: Best for hitting draws, although stronger players even find them adequate for shaping shots both ways; a high-flyer that gets the ball up in the air from just about any lie; if you like hitting the ball high and straight, these sticks get it done.

ACCURACY/FORGIVENESS: Solid hits are right on the mark, and misses aren’t too far off—doesn’t lose much distance unless you really miss one badly; minimal sidespin keeps the slices at bay on poor hits.

DISTANCE CONTROL: As long as you catch it okay, expect consistent yardage through the set; pretty long overall, with very few unhappy surprises—you can feel confident that the club you pick up will get the number you need.

FEEL: Nice, lively response at impact; balance is good for a lightweight iron—easy to swing, yet testers know where the club is throughout the motion.

LOOK: Black finish reduces glare and looks expensive; sets up pretty well behind the ball despite plenty of offset; the shape of the clubhead fits its size.
